About Lindsay Nirenberg, MHC/SC
Lindsay is from downstate New York. She attended SUNY Oswego where she received her bachelor's degree in human development in 2016. While there, she interned and later worked as an intake coordinator at a mental health private practice. During that experience, she realized she was ready for her next step in the field of mental health, attended graduate school for Mental Health Counseling, and earned her Masters of Science degree in December 2020. In addition, and as her interest in the school system began to grow, Lindsay received her Certificate of Advanced Study in School Counseling in May 2021.
Lindsay enjoys working with children doing play therapy and has received training in this subject area. She uses person-centered play therapy approaches; dialectical-behavioral therapy approaches; and cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches in her work with her clients. Lindsay is currently working on her hours towards becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has five (5) years of experience in the counseling field. She enjoys assisting individuals overcome mental health challenges. |
